Note for Windows 10 users: Drivers for the USB3-HUB3ME are pre-installed in Windows 10, and there is no need to download drivers. Just plug in your adapter, wait a moment while the driver is set up, then access the network. If you have any problems with this, please contact us at support@plugable.com.

It does have latest drivers too. Everything is working in it after installing Bootcamp drivers except the sound. I just get a red cross on the Volume icon in system tray and when I click on it, Windows starts to troubleshoot and the result always points that the hardware change might not have detected and it's been fixed now. Note: ARM-based Windows 8/8.1 tablets such as the Microsoft Surface RT do not have drivers for the RTL8153 built in. Realtek does not provide a Surface RT compatible driver for installation.

Windows PC’s with internet access should automatically download and install drivers from Windows Update.

While it should not be required as the Realtek drivers are built into macOS, if you would like to install the Realtek 8153 driver on macOS 10.6 through 10.14, download the driver from the link below:

Linux kernels 3.8 and earlier require rebuild of kernel module from source. Recent distributions running 3.9 or later should have the driver built-into kernel.

Chrome OS supported with latest software updates installed. The drivers are included as part of the kernel used by Chrome OS.

There are many USB Wirless devices that have the RTL8812bu chipset, so the device may not look like the illustration. Also as many of these devices come with the driver on a mini cdrom and people don't have cdrom drives on their computer or laptop these days, you'll need to get it from the internet.

Windows generic drivers for the Realtek 8812bu provided by Microsoft may cause stability issues or intermittently cause it to malfunction and causing instability in Windows. So, installing the drivers from Realtek are important if you are experiencing any issues like these.
